Candlewood Suites Aberdeen-Bel Air by IHG

First, no real negatives that I noticed. Was only there for 2 days. Room was not large, but had fridge/stove/microwave. Shower was good. Laundry room was clean. Having a sign in laundry room telling people to not leave clothes in dryer for a day might be a thought. Close to Interstate, room was quiet. Restaurants nearby.

I spend a lot of time on the road. As a home away from home, this hotel is great. The rooms are a little older but getting modernized more everyday. The location is fine because the interstate is extremely close. The thing that makes this Candlewood one of my favorites is the staff. The few times I have had issues, they were taken care of immediately. The staff is also always pleasant and that makes time away from home a lot easier. Finally, the price is very affordable and always has been. It is very good for the quality of hospitality I receive.

So these hotels are actually pretty decent for the price. Have all the stuff: microwave, full sized fridge, dishwasher and utensils. We moved from Colorado to Maryland due to my husband being military earlier this week. We’ve been staying at Candlewood Hotels all week long and they’ve been fabulous. The only complaint I have about this location is that my room (room 108) had ants. You could tell something was up when you walked in the room and it smelled like a strong chlorine bath. If it were roaches, I would be throwing a fit but ants aren’t awful so I’ll let it slide. But this should definitely be taken care of. Hotels should not be having pests, especially with people staying longer than one night. We don’t need to take these things home with us.

Linda has turned this location around. I stayed here before and the building maintenance was poor. It has totally change. It use to be weeks before repairs on things like dishwashers, pool, laundry, elevator. Now it is same day if they have the parts or they let you know what a eta is for the repair. There was a issue with the pool pump on my stay I was expecting to not have the pool for at lest the rest of the week, boy was a wrong. They had the pool back up and working in a few hours. This hotel is being put on my list to stay at anytime I am in the area!

Just stayed here for w family funeral. The whole hotel has been updated from our last stay nearly a year ago. It looks fantastic, and all the rooms have been sufficiently updated. The staff is phenomenal, extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend staying at this solid hotel.

Had a mixed adventure, but at the of the day the room was good, the front staff where amazing. I was there for 2 weeks and it worked for my needs. Had deer outside my window. Biggest room negatives is that there is a light outside that shines into the window. Any repairs needed for my room where addressed and if I did have issues

My husband and I frequent this establishment for little mini getaways. I must state that compared to other IHG establishments this location lacks as you are rarely or are never spoken to coming or going. However, at our most resent stay there is this new very professional and kind front desk staff member named Colleen. Her manners are impeccable and very deserving of recognition. She is a fantastic and a welcoming addition. Actually my husband and I agree she was the best part of our stay. A little kindness goes a long way. Great job Colleen!

Room was great! All employees were friendly especially Colleen! Very sweet and made me feel like I was important and valued.
